Tyler Mitchell

Mitchell, MS, LAT, ATC was hired on as a full-time assistant athletic trainer for Life University in 2022, and currently provides primary coverage for the Men’s Rugby.
 
Mitchell joined the Running Eagles in June 2020 as a graduate assistant, working as the primary ATC for men's club rugby and women's lacrosse teams during his first year with the university. His second year he added men’s undergraduate rugby to his responsibilities and has been solely with the program since the late fall of 2021. In June of 2022 Mitchell graduate from Life University with a Masters of Science in sport health science with a focus on sport injury management. 

Prior to his time at Life U, Mitchell worked as an athletic training student while in his undergraduate program at the University of South Carolina, earning a Bachelors of Science in athletic training. While at USC, he worked with the football, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's golf programs as well as campus recreations with a focus on lacrosse, rugby, and intramural basketball. In 2019, Mitchell completed a summer internship with the Carolina Panthers.

A native of Columbia, South Carolina, Mitchell is happily married to his wife, Jessica
