Running Eagles Split Dual With Cumberlands

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – Life University split a dual with Cumberlands on Saturday.
Against Cumberlands' "A" squad, the Running Eagles came up just short 24-21. In the 101-pound division,
Amber Garriga lost by fall in 1:07. In the 109-pound division,
Alanda Nguyen fell by 8-3 decision. In the 116-pound division,
Tyesha Topps fell by 9-4 decision. In the 123-pound division, Jennifer Juarez lost by technical fall 14-3.
Aysia Cortez won the 130-pound match by fall in 5:01. Brooke Pagan won the 143-pound match with a 11-0 technical fall. In the 155-match,
Zoe Wight fell by criteria 8-8. Jordan Nelson won the 170-pound match by 9-6 decision. Stephanie Pantoja won the 191-pound match by fall in 5:26.
Life U won the dual against Cumberlands' "B" squad 26-21.
Alyssa Martinez won the 101-pound match with a 6-5 decision. In the 109-pound division,
Amber Garriga lost by fall in 5:29.
Aysia Cortez won the 130-pound match with a 6-0 decision. Christina Font won the 143-pound match by fall in 1:40.
Zoe Wight won the 155-pound match by fall in 5:10. Jordan Nelson won the 191-pound match by fall in 5:22. Brooke Pagan won the 170pound match by forfeit.
Life U is back in action on Nov. 18 as they travel to Marshall, Mo. to compete in the Missouri Valley Open.
