Life U Defeats Stars Rugby 40-19

MARIETTA, Ga. – Life University defeated Stars Rugby 40-19 on Sunday.
"This Stars team brought some phenomenal competition, and this was a great challenge to end the Fall season," Assistant Coach
Laura Miller said. "Captain Madison Ohmann was a standout try scorer to end the first half, along with
Kaitlyn Broughton who had four tries total."
Kaitlyn Broughton paced the squad with four tries in the win.
Madison Ohmann added a try and five conversions.
Broughton got things started early with a try just two minutes into the match. She would strike again with back-to-back tries at 18' and 32' to push the lead out to 19-5. Ohmann followed with a try of her own just three minutes later and made the conversion to go up 26-5. Broughton would get one more try in before the half to take a 33-5 lead into the intermission.
The second half was a much more defensive struggle with the Stars cutting the lead to 33-12 just three minutes into the half. Life U would answer back with a try to take a 40-12 lead. They would eventually claim a 40-19 victory.
With the win, the Running Eagles' fall season comes to a close.
