No. 7 Life U Sweeps No. 8 Southeastern and No. 3 Indiana Tech In Fire Duals

LAKELAND, Fla. – No. 7 Life University swept host, No. 8 Southeastern and No. 3 Indiana Tech in the Fire Duals on Saturday.
"We competed against some well coached and tough teams today," Head Coach
Omi Acosta said. "We had to adjust and find a way to be the best team we can possibly be. Guys fought and stepped up to compete."
Life U defeated Southeastern 25-17.
Stephen Moreno won the 125 match with a 8-1 decision.
Denver Stonecheck earned a fall in 2:23 to win the 149 match.
Nosomy Pozo took a 17-5 major decision to win the 157 match.
Hunter Smith won the 184 match with a 4-3 tie-breaker.
Dalton Bailey won the 197 match with a fall in 1:50.
Brandon Hill earned a 5-3 decision to win the 285 match.
The Running Eagles stunned No. 3 Indiana Tech 22-15. After dropping the first four matches of the dual, Life U rebounded to win the remaining six matches.
Dimitri Alicea earned a 4-3 decision took take the 157 match.
Phillip McBride earned a 9-5 decision to win the 165 match.
Anthony Carter wont he 174 match with a 12-11 decision.
Hunter Smith took the 184 match with a 3-0 decision. Diallo Matismela took an 11-2 decision to win the 197 match.
Dalton Bailey earned a fall in 2:35 in the 285 match.
The Running Eagles will be back in action on Friday, Jan. 19 as they travel to Marshall, Mo. to compete in the Missouri Valley Invitational.
