MARIETTA, Ga. – No. 21 Life University (19-9, 7-5 MSC) survived against No. 9 Lindsey Wilson (21-6, 6-6 MSC) to earn the 70-67 upset.

Jay Johnson paced the squad with 22 points and eight rebounds as well as a block. Senior
Undra Mitchem put up 16 points with four rebounds and two assists. Senior
Zach Landis contributed 13 points in addition to seven rebounds, five steals, two assists and a block.
Life U was in control for most of the game and opened on a 8-3 run. They took their largest lead of the game at 19-10 with just over 12 minutes left in the half. However, the Blue Raiders was wake up and began to trim the lead as they took their first lead at 26-25 with 6:48 left in the half. They pushed out to largest lead of the game 31-26, and would take a 34-32 lead into the half.
After the break, the Running Eagles went back to work and took control of the game with a 37-36 lead two minutes into the period. They never trailed again and worked the advantage back out to nine points at 60-51 with 7:17 left in the game. The Blue Raiders attempted to mount a late comeback but were unable to complete it as Life U held on for the 70-67 victory.
The Running Eagles will be back in action as they continue the final homestand of the season on Thursday, Feb. 22 as they welcome No. 3 Pikeville to the Eagles' Nest.
