No. 7 Men's Wrestling Takes Down No. 13 Southeastern

LAKELAND, Fla. ---- The No. 7 nationally ranked Life University men's wrestling team earned a 27-16 road win over No. 13 Southeastern University to improve to 4-0 in the Mid-South Conference over the weekend.
After an early loss at 125, Life U trailed 3-0 early, however at 133,
Lucas Patterson pinned his opponent 4:07 into the match to put the Running Eagles ahead 6-3. Southeastern responded immediately winning the next two matchups to take a 12-6 lead.
Life U came right back with four-straight victories to take a commanding 24-12 lead. First,
Nosomy Pozo earned a 9-4 decision at 157 as
Osvani Ley won 10-8 in overtime at 165.
Phillip McBride earned the forfeit win at 175 and Lucius Van Rensburg wrestled at 184 to earn the pin at 2:04 in the first round.
Despite losing at 197,
Brandon Hill sealed the win with a 5-1 decision at 285 to give the Running Eagles the 27-16 victory over MSC opponent Southeastern.
The men's wrestling team will return to action on Saturday, January 26, when they travel to Lebanon, Tenn. on the campus of Cumberland University to compete in the Cumberland open.
