Bowling Completes Brunswick Southern Collegiate Classic

MARIETTA, Ga. ---- The men and women's bowling team each hosted the Brunswick Southern Collegiate Classic over the weekend at two seperate locations.
The women finished 12th in a field of 22 teams as the men took 20th in a field of 34 over the two day event.
Leading the way for the women was
Amber Beene. She took 21st in a field of 166 bowlers. She totaled 1,102 pins with an average of 187.67 over six games.
Jasmine Nash (31st, 1,032, 172),
Hannah Walker (35th, 1,013, 168.83) and Heather Dumas (38th, 1,004, 167.33) all finished inside the top 40 for the competition.Â
On the women's side, Savannah College of Arts and Design took first with a total score of 10,298 as the Running Eagles earned a score of 9,174.
The men hosted the event at the Bowlero in Austell, Ga., and finished with a score of 9,719.
George Walden led the men with his finish at 32nd in a field of 267 bowlers. He picked up 1,223 pins with an average of 203.8 over six games. Craig Sanders finished in 59th with a 1,148 total and a 191.3 average.
Rodante Moorehead also cracked the top 75 in 61st with a 1,142 total and 190.3 average.
After three matches of conference play, the Mid-South Conference released standings on both sides. The men are currently eighth of the 15 members as the women are also eighth.
Both bowling teams will return to action on December 18 when they travel to Las Vegas to compete in a pair of competitions.Â
