Men's Rugby to Host Arkansas State in Home Opener

MARIETTA, Ga. ---- The Life University men's rugby team will host Arkansas State University on Saturday, Feb. 16 in the 2019 home opener at 1 PM on Lupo Family Field.
After a dominate 95-3 victory over Clemson, the Running Eagles look to keep up the pressure this weekend with another D1A Rugby Mid-South matchup. Last Saturday,
Mitchell Wilson led the way with 28 points as
George Phelan tallied 236 ball carry meters.
Additionally, Phelan picked up five line breaks with Wilson having five tackle breaks.
Marek Lipold had eight cleanouts and led the team with 14 tackles.
William McCubbin added two steals in the dominating first win for the Running Eagles.
Heading into the home opener, the Running Eagles have remained atop the D1A Rugby Polls at No. 1 for every week of this year.
