MOUNT VERNON, Ga. ---- The Life University men's volleyball team swept its seventh consecutive match in 3-0 fashion on the road Tuesday night at Brewton-Parker College in Mid-South Conference Play.
 
NOTES
• Life U improved to 10-1 (6-0), while Brewton-Parker fell to 3-6 (1-2).
 
STANDOUT PERFORMERS 
• Livan Moreno led the way offensively for the Running Eagles with a team-high 13 kills and a hitting percentage of 41.7%. He added two service aces, two blocks and six digs.
• Javier Cornier picked up 33 assists on the night with a pair of digs and kills.
• Gabriel Serrano finished with a team-high 13 digs with six kills and a service ace. Luke Allmond added three blocks with nine kills. 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED 
• Early in set one, Brewton-Parker jumped out to a 4-0 lead. Halfway through the set, Brewton-Parker led 12-11, however a 5-2 run was finished on a kill from Moreno to give Life U a 16-14 advantage.
• Life U never trailed again in the set as they ended the first frame on a 3-0 run that was finished with a block from Perez to win 25-21.
• Life U jumped out to an early 4-1 lead in set two after an ace from Moreno. A 7-2 run from Life U was finished on a pair of kills from Moreno to put the Running Eagles ahead 12-6 in the set.
• Brewton-Parker responded with a pair of points, however the Running Eagles jumped back with a 5-1 run that was finished on an ace from Moreno to put Life U ahead 17-9. The Running Eagles ended the set on a 7-2 run as a kill from Allmond ended the frame in favor of Life U, 25-13.
• Brewton-Parker tied set three at four early on, but Life U picked up a 6-1 run that was finished with a kill from Serrano to lead 10-5. Two quick points from the Barons saw the Running Eagles offense push back with a 10-2 run to lead 20-9.
• Allmond tallied a kill to put the Running Eagles on match point, as a set error ended the frame 25-13 to give Life U the 3-0 victory.
 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• Life U led Brewton-Parker in kills 40-20. Life U finished with a hitting percentage of .370 as Brewton-Parker finished with a -.012.
• Life U led Brewton-Parker in digs 35-29.
• Life U held a 7-3 advantage over Brewton-Parker in blocks.
• Life U finished with a 35-17 advantage in assists over Brewton-Parker as well
