ORLANDO, Fla. ---- The Life University women's rugby team finished the road trip 2-0 with a pair of wins over the University of Central Florida over the weekend as both the varsity and reserve players came away with the win.

The varsity side earned a 55-5 victory to start the day as the reserve side finished on top 79-0.

UCF started the varsity match with an early try after penalties from the Life U side. The conversion was no good, as this marked the only points the Knights would score all day in both matches. The Running Eagles responded immediately with tries from Paige Fallon and Spiff Sedrick. Susan Adegoke crossed the line next as Jess Keating nailed the conversion to put Life U ahead 17-5. Just before the half, Adegoke added her second with the off-load from Hannah Fallon-Suka to put the Running Eagles up 22-5 at the break.

Saher Hamdan, Makayla Lowe and Autumn Locicero (2) scored to make the final 55-5 for the road victory. In the reserve match, the Running Eagles dominated from the opening whistle with a defensive effort that earned the 79-0 shutout.

The women's rugby team will return to action on Saturday, February 29, when they travel to Austin, Texas to face the Austin Valkyries at 3 PM. This will mark the tenth matchup for the women in five weeks as they continue to build for the postseason.
