No. 2 Men's Wrestling Battles with NCWA Club Champions Liberty

MARIETTA, Ga. ---- The No. 2 nationally ranked Life University men's wrestling team welcomed five-time NCWA club national champions Liberty University to campus Sunday afternoon. The Running Eagles battled to earn the 41-3 victory over the visiting Flames.
Life U got out to a quick start in the match as
Randy McCray Jr. earned the 9-7 decision at 125 lbs.
Quin McGlamery came from behind to pick up the win via pin fall at 133 lbs. to kickstart the Running Eagles offense. The next five weight classes went in favor of Life U with each earning bonus points.
Tyree Johnson picked up the 16-2 technical fall in 4:24 at 141 lbs. as
Julian Hernandez finished a 17-4 major decision at 149 lbs.
Jack Bass answered with another 17-4 major decision as
Sid Ohl and
Mason McDaniel pinned their opponnents in the second period, 4:23 and 3:16.Â
Baker Hadwan continued the momentum for the Running Eagles at 184 lbs. with a 9-2 decision as
Zane Lanham earned the 14-5 major decision at 197 lbs. The lone victory for Liberty came at 285 in a 6-2 decision to give Life U the 41-3 victory.

The men's wrestling team will return to action on Friday, January 29 at 1 PM as they honor the members of the senior class on senior day against Allen University in the Eagles' Nest.
