LOUISVILLE, Ky. ---- The Life University men's bowling team competed in a pair of tournaments over the weekend with the Mid-South Conference. The team took its first top-ten finish of the year on day one, but fell to 20th in the second tournament of the event.

The first event on the docket for the Running Eagles was the Lynne Jordan Memorial that took place on Saturday, where the men were able to pull of their first top-ten finish in nineth of the 24 teams that competed. Life U totaled 7021 total pins, and were led by Colby Hagemoser who finished the event 20th overall. He averaged 201.6 and had a point-high 254 round in game one of the baker style tournament. There were 239 varsity individuals at the event.

Hunter Harper snagged himself a top-50 finish in 32nd with a total of 194.4 and an individual high of 232 in game two. Andrew Martin finished just outside the top 50 in 53rd with an average of 184 as Heather Dumas bowled with the men and finished in 91st with an average of 167.2. Bryan Holcomb rounded out the top five in 173rd with an average of 165. 

The team stayed in Louisville for the Thomas N Burris Memorial Tournament on Sunday, where the Running Eagles struggled with an overall total of 6610 and 20th of the 23-team field. Hagemoser again led the Running Eagles, but in 53rd place with an average of 199.4. Harper finished behind him in 101st with an average of 171.2 as Dumas wasn't far behind in 131st with an average of 181.3. Duane Jones was able to manage an average of 205.7, but only bowled in three games for the Running Eagles. 

The men's bowling team will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 6, when they travel to the Southern Lanes in Douglasville, Ga. for a Tier One Event that will last two days.
