Head coach
Rosalind Chou shared her thoughts after the match stating, "It was our first time out to the beautiful state of Utah and it was great to have such a big crowd of BYU and Life supporters. We have quite a few student-athletes from the west, so we saw support from families coming from Utah, California, and Oregon. BYU is such a great team and we knew we'd be pushed to play a full 80 minute match with their tenacity and work rate."
Â
She continued, "We got to play a variety of team to continue to build depth for our season culminating in the spring.
Jess Keating was great as the field general, precise in the set piece, and great with her kicks as well. She had a tremendous, well rounded match. Another great showing with
Nina Wilson as she continues to improve and settle in at scrumhalf and our speed and ability to work the ball to the edges produces some very exciting rugby. We have another tough week ahead of us as we travel to Missouri and then varsity gets a bit of a break while we focus on our NCR squad for their post-season."
The women's rugby team will return to action on Saturday, November 6, when they travel to St. Charles, Mo. to face Lindenwood University in a rematch. The JV will kickoff at 5 PM as the varsity will play after at roughly 7:30.Â
