BOWLING GREEN, Ky. ---- The Life University men's bowling team opened up competition over the weekend in the MSC Bowling Green Baker Shootout where the team placed 11th in the 19-team field.
In the first day, the Running Eagles finished with 3419 pins to sit in 13th place. Heading into day two, Life U was able to pick up 3683 pins to jump ahead into 11th. The second day score would have put the Running Eagles in eighth place, and the two day average would've placed the team in fourth by ten pins.
The tournament was split into two days of 20 baker games each. On day one, the team finished with a high score of 235 pins with five games in the 200-plus range. Day two featured a high of 269 with six games in the 200-plus range. However, the majority of scores sat just below 200 on day two which allowed the team to rise.
The men's bowling team will return to action on Saturday, October 23, when they travel to Louisville, Ky. at Kingpin Lanes to compete in the Lynne Jordan Memorial. They will then compete the next day at the same venue in the Thomas N. Burris Memorial.
