Women's Swimming Fall to Brenau 97-86 in Season Opener

GAINESVILLE, Ga. ---- The Life University women's swim team opened the 2021 season on the road at Brenau University over the weekend, however the Golden Tigers came away with the 97-86 win.
Life U finished the event with five first place finishes, six second place finishes and five third place finishes. The 200 yard medley relay team of
Dora Reizinger, Sophia Carneiro,
Greta Gonzalez and
Victoria Acosta took first in a time of 1:58.15 for first place in the event. Other notable finishes included Acosta taking first in the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:18.85 and Gonzalez taking first in the 100 yard Butterfly in 1:01.75.Â
Reizinger brought home first in the 100 yard Backstroke in 1:04.43 as Carneiro earned first in the 100 yard Breaststroke in 1:13.27.Â
The women's swim team will return to action on Friday, November 19, when they head to Sewanee, Tenn. for the Igloo Invitational that will finish on Saturday.Â
