LEBANON, Tenn. ---- The Life University men's basketball team was unable to connect offensively as they fell 69-53 in the Mid-South Conference regular season finale Saturday afternoon.
NOTES
• Life U fell to 9-10 (5-10) on the year, while Cumberland improved to 9-12 (8-11).
STANDOUT PERFORMERS

Cam Horton led the way offensively with 11 points and four rebounds.

Jordan Hernandez and
James Moore each picked up ten points to also finish in double figures.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Cumberland started the game on a 14-3 run after the first six minutes of the game.
• Life U cut the lead to single digits, 22-14, with the layup from Lewis after the steal with 4:34 left on the clock. An old fashioned three-point play form Horton cut the lead to seven, 26-19 just outside of two minutes before the half. Horton connected from deep a minute later, however Cumberland finished the half with a pair of free-throws to lead 31-22 at the break.
• Life U cut the lead to single digits once in the second half, as halfway through the second 20 minutes, Cumberland led 49-38. With six minutes remaining in the game, the Phoenix led 62-42.
• Life U finished the game ahead 11-6, however the offensive production of Cumberland gave the Phoenix the 69-53 win.

• Life U finished 18-for-53 from the field, 34%, while Cumberland shot 22-for-50, 44%.
• Life U shot 4-for-18, 2227%, from beyond the arc and 13-for-15, 86.7%, from the free-throw line. Cumberland finished 11-for-28, 39.3%, from distance and 14-for-24, 58.3%, from the free-throw line.
• Life U led Cumberland in points in the paint 28-20 as Cumberland led Life U in points off turnovers 26-12.
