Women's Rugby / 05.03.21
ST. CHARLES, Mo. ---- The Life University women's rugby team fell in the 2021 D1 Elite National Championship to three-time champions Lindenwood University Saturday night to finish as the national runner-ups.
The Running Eagles held the score close in the early minutes, however the Lions kept possession for a majority of the match to earn the 54-12 victory. Head coach
Rosalind Chou had nothing but positive takeaways from the match stating, "We're so proud of the team for playing with tremendous heart for all 80 minutes. It's such an honor and privilege to play in a national championship after everything we've been through this year. We have a young team, and are looking forward to continuing to build on the foundation built on the previous student-athletes. Our seniors finished out their final season with grace and our underclassmen are hungry to get to work for next year."
Adrionna Duncan scored both of the Running Eagle tries as she was assisted by Pepe Toomalatai.Â
