Men's Track and Field Finish Fifth at Emory Crossplex Showdown

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. --- The Life University men's track and field team got back to indoor competition Sunday, taking part in the Emory Crossplex Showdown where the team finished fifth out of 13 teams.
Life U earned 37 team points to take fifth place while eventual champion, Mississippi College, put together 152 total points. The rest of the top three was comprised of Emory with 112.33 points and Montevallo's 99.33.
The Running Eagles best event came in the 400m dash,
Jacob Ulrich nabbing the top spot in the event with an NAIA B-standard time of 49.01 while
Ngoni Chadyiwa claimed third place with a time of 50.53.
Other point earners for Life U were
Patrick Faust ending the 800m in 2:01.72 for fifth place,Â
Michael Panzarino reached a height of 1.80m in the high jump for fifth place, whileÂ
Daniel McNabb finishing sixth in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.13.
The Running Eagles return to the track next week for the KMS Invitational in Birmingham, Ala.
