NEW YORK, N.Y. --- The Life University women's rugby team finished off its recent road trip with a contest against New York Rugby Club, pulling away for a 40-17 victory Saturday afternoon.

After a slow first half, the Running Eagles got it going big time in the second half to pull off the victory. The Running Eagles found themselves in a 17-5 hole at half time, but after some conversations at half time and some good team problem solving they were able to find their groove coming out of the break. Amaya Moala led the way for Life U, collecting a hat trick on the night.

Head coach Ryszard Chadwick on the win, "Considering it was the second game in two days and with such a long travel it was great to get so many players reps and helped us continue to build.
Last year, Life lost this fixture so it's great to see the improvement and growth of the group in such a short amount of time."

The Running Eagles will take on Lindenwood in their next match Saturday, October 8th at 4pm in St. Charles, MO.
