Women's Rugby Loses hard Fought Battle to Lindenwood, 24-14

ST. CHARLES, Mo. --- The Life University women's rugby team kept things close in the second half, but were never able to bridge the gap, losing on the road, 24-14, at Lindenwood Saturday afternoon.

The women's rugby team fought tough the entire game but came up short against Lindenwood 24-14. The team was down 12-7 at half, but started the 2nd half scoring first. Shortly after, Lindenwood scored, and finished the game with a try to make the final score 24-14. The Running Eagles were led by Matilda Kocaj and Amaya Moala, who both had a try each. Jessica Keating had 2 conversions on the day. 

Coach Ryszard after the loss, "Very impressed and proud of how the team played against a highly skilled and physical Lindenwood side. There is a lot for us as a group to be optimistic about and have clear things we need to work on".

The Running Eagles will take on Tampa in their next match Saturday, October 29th at 1pm at Lupo Family Field.
