Women's Rugby Starts Season with Dominant 53-0 Victory Over Penn State

UNIVERSITY PARK, Penn. --- The Life University women's rugby team got off to a great start on the year, earning a 53-0 shutout victory on the road against Penn State University Thursday night.
The offense swung open as Quennette Toomalatai found
Brooklyn Vaifanua for the first try of the game. Brooklyn followed that up with the next try of the game shortly after. Autumn LoCicero, Suzan Adegoke and Matilda Kocaj added scores to extend the lead to 31-0 by halftime.
Toomalatai had a try herself, scoring the first points of the second half.
Adrionna Duncan added a try, and LoCicero provided the final score of the game off her 2
nd try of the game, making the final score 53-0.

Ryszard Chadwick shared his thoughts after the match stating, "The players were switched on from the beginning of the warm up, we started slow but quickly found our flow and rhythm. It was a great performance & looking forward to building further. A lot of great performances but a standout 1
st half performance from Eilidh MacGilvary."
The Running Eagles next match will be against the New York Rugby Club, taking place on Saturday, October 1st at 2pm.
