FREDERICKSBURG, Va. --- The Life University men's rugby team opened their 2023-24 season Saturday afternoon against Mary Washington, earning the win 42-21.

The Running Eagles saw a combination of players record tries, Adam Chadwick, Elias Garza, Gabriel Michnya, Seth Kramlich, Matthew Carrion, and Jon Rodriguez all recording tries. Additionally, Bradley Crane converted seven tries.

Director of Men's Rugby, Blake Bradford shared his thoughts, stating, "We were very happy to get stuck into our first conference game in the Rugby East. The boys had a tough trip up to Virginia with the bus breaking down, but the way they stayed positive and managed to put our a good performance was commendable. We are excited for our next game against the defending National Champions, and it should give us a good idea of where we are as a team."

The Running Eagles will face Navy next, hosting the defending champs on Saturday, October 7th at 1 pm.
