Huntsville, Ala. --- The Life University cross country teams competed in their second race of the season at the Charger Invitational Saturday morning.

Sophomore Dennis Kipruto led the way for the men, coming in 129th place in the 8k event with a time of 26:00.6. Four other Running Eagles ran in the 431-man field, Christian Salt taking 137 place right behind Kipruto with a time of 26:05.5. Elie Penitzka took 174th place with a time of 26:28.1, while Abedelemejid Kerebo followed right behind him in 206th place with an improved time of 26:50.7. The final placer for the men was Junior Omar Hernandez-Santos in 352nd place with a time of 29:21.2.

On the women's side, six runners competed, Emeline Delaville leading the way with an improved time of 19:39.2 in the 5k event for 130th, while Kyja Williams was right behind her in 191st place with a time of 20:33.9. Other placers included Cynthia Jeptoo in 264th place with an improved time of 22:06.81, Dora Reizinger in 295th with a time 23:33.3, Najah Gibson in 327th with a time of 26:13.0, and Hannah Burner in 335th with a time of 27:41.9.

The Running Eagles next compete at the Firehawk Invitational in Pulaski, Tenn. on Saturday, October 20.
