Life U Boasts Seven NAIA Qualifiers

MARIETTA, Ga. — The NAIA has announced both the Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving National Championship qualifiers with seven Life University athletes earning a chance to compete in the championship events.
On the women's side, there are 28 schools represented in this year's meet and 165 individual entries that qualified for the 2023 NAIA Women's Swimming and Diving National Championships.
The men's side is just as competitive, with 27 schools represented in this year's meet and 143 individual entries qualifying for the 2023 NAIA Men's Swimming and Diving National Championships.
Life University sends three women to represent the Running Eagles with all three individuals qualifying in multiple events. Nathalia Bento will compete in the 50 free, 100 fly, and 100 free, Dora Reizinger will compete in the 200 IM, 100 back, and 200 back, and Lillian Thurber will compete in the 100 breast, and 200 breast while also taking place in the 200 IM.
The Running Eagles will have a full relay team of swimmers participate on the men's side as Bence Dort, Bence Merész, Lucas Payan, and Anton Smal all received qualifying marks this season.
Dort is set to compete in the 100 fly, 100 back, and 200 back while Merész will compete in the 200 IM, 100 back, and 200 breast. Payan will swim in the 100 fly and the 100 and 200 back. Lastly, Smal will swim the 400 IM, the 200 back and join Merész in the 200 IM.
On the men's side, Keiser (Fla.) and St. Thomas (Fla.) enter the championship with the highest total of individual qualifiers with 18, while Cumberlands (Ky.) and SCAD Savannah (Ga.) follow with 14 qualifiers.
The women's side again sees Keiser (Fla.) entering the championship with the highest total of individual qualifiers with 18, while Indiana Wesleyan follows up just behind with 16 qualifiers.
