Wrestlers to Compete at Wrestling US Open in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, Nev. --- The Life University men's wrestling team has two of its student-athletes scheduled to compete this weekend in the US Open in Las Vegas.Â
Kyle Homet and Khalil Shakur will be competing for the Running Eagles at the US Open. The two will wrestle in the Senior Division, a qualifying event for the Senior Freestyle and Greco-Roman World Team Trials.
Kyle Homet will wrestle at 86 kilograms in freestyle and Khalil Shakur will compete at 82kg in Greco-Roman.
The event runs from April 26-30 with wrestlers competing for spots in the 2023 Senior World Team Trials Challenge tournament and Final X.
