Life University Athletics

MARIETTA, Ga. — Friday, 45 student-athletes were recognized at the Spring 2023 Life University Commencement.

The 45 Running Eagles came from 14 different teams with an impressive 19 student-athletes graduating with honors. Three master's degrees and four doctorate degrees were earned while two undergraduate Valedictorians were named. 

For the third consecutive graduation, a Life U student-athlete tabbed the highest honors in the undergraduate program as Kaylee Lowe of the women's track and field team AND Maja Engstrom  from women's soccer were both named Valedictorian. 

Director of Athletics Jayme Pendergast expressed her gratitude for the graduating class, stating, "This graduating class has been significant to our steady climb in collective department success.  I was pretty speechless yesterday when addressing this group at our graduation luncheon.  There were National Champs, national finalists, All-Americans, Team Captains, campus leaders, future Hall of Famers, and a class valedictorian in the room. This class is pretty legendary, and it was just a real honor to be there to watch their growth over their time at Life University.  Congrats to them all and I hope they all remain engaged alumni."
