IOWA CITY, Iowa – The top-ranked Life University women's wrestling team defeated Missouri Valley College and competed against the second-ranked NCAA University of Iowa Sunday afternoon. The Running Eagles down Missouri Valley in the first dual of the day before stumbling against Iowa.

Life U. started its day of competition with a 33-13 win over Missouri Valley College. Riley Dalrymple, Zaynah McBryde, and Jamilah McBryde all recorded tech falls while Devyn Gomez, Ariana Martinez, and Latifah McBryde all secured pins in the dominant win. Diana Gonzalez also recorded a win via decision while the Running Eagles lost the top two weight classes via forfeit and pin.

The Running Eagles then faced off against the NCAA National Duals Champions, University of Iowa. The early weight classes failed to go in favor of Life U before Sarah Savidge got on the board at 130 with an 11-0 tech fall over #10 Emily Frost. The Running Eagles then lost at 136 lbs and 143 lbs as Reese Larramendy found revenge against Jamilah McBryde, avenging her loss from the Soldier Salute, with a 12-4 decision. Latifah McBryde then lost a narrow 3-1 decision at 155 lbs before Life U dropped its final two bouts via decision and tech fall.
