FORT WAYNE, Ind. --- The Life University women's wrestling program hit the road earning a couple of Mid-South Conference victories over Rochester, 44-4, Siena Heights, 29-16, and Lourdes, 45-2. Additionally, the Running Eagles ran away with their non-conference contest against DII Hiram 42-5.

Life U (16-1) maintains its perfect dual meet record against NAIA opponents, starting the day with a match against Siena Heights. Starting at 101 lbs, Devyn Gomez won via forfeit before Brianna Funakoshi earned a win via decision, 5-2. Miranda DiBennedetto and Anna Krejsa both followed with quick 10-0 tech falls before Sophie Sarver got the first pin of the day to easily boost the lead to a one-sided 21-1. Angelina Prado and Shani Tyson then both earned tech falls before the Running Eagles dropped the final three bouts, 29-16.

Next, the Running Eagles match against Hiram was again never in question, only allowing the Terriers points in a single bout. Beginning at 101 lbs, Devyn Gomez got things started with a pin. Funakoshi followed her up with a 10-0 TF earned just as fast. In the 116 lbs. match Kaci Bice earned another tech fall, this time 12-0. At 123 lbs. and 136 lbs, Life U earned two straight forget to give the team a 23-0 advantage. Prado then earned a victory by fall, before Tyson earned another tech fall for Life U. The Terriors then took their only match of the dual, a pin in the 155 lbs. class. The dual ended in back-to-back forfeits, seeing the final score of 42-5.

Against Lourdes, the Running Eagles picked up their most one-sided victory of the day, winning 45-2 as the Gray Wolves forfeited four bouts. Gomez again earned a tech fall to get things going, followed by Krejsa's tech fall at 123 lbs, a Sarver pin at 130 lbs, and a tech fall from Prado at 136 lbs. The final two weight classes were won by Latifah McBryde and Madeline Welch to easily close out the matchup.

In the final bout of the day, the Running Eagles jumped out to a quick start, as forfeits at 101 lbs, 109 lbs, and 116 lbs were followed by a tech fall at 123 lbs from Anna Krejsa. Sophie Sarver then pushed the team lead to 24-0 with a pin at 130 lbs. The Saints then forfeited the next match before Shani Picked up a pin, 34-0. Next up, Life U dropped the matchup at 155 lbs before two final forfeits ended the match 44-4.
