Running Eagles Open Indoor Season at Clemson Opener

Clemson, S.C. - The Life University Track and Field team traveled to Clemson to compete in the Clemson Opener on Friday. The Running Eagles began their indoor season with several standout performances, highlighted by multiple top-10 finishes in both track and field events and a single B-Standard.

Emeline Delaville led the women's team with an impressive performance in the 1000 meters, earning a 3rd-place B-Standard finish with a time of 2:58.45. In the field events, Katelyn Mendoza competed in the throws, placing 10th in the shot put with a throw of 10.60 meters and 11th in the weight throw with a mark of 12.91 meters.

For the men's team, Geovanni Hawes delivered a standout performance in the shot put, finishing 6th with a throw of 14.85 meters. Winston Sanders also performed well in the weight throw, placing 8th with a mark of 15.08 meters. In the mile, Lukas Bartling secured 3rd place with a time of 4:50.81, and in the shot put, teammates Evan Lindabury and Chase Holbrook placed 15th (10.97 meters) and 17th (10.51 meters), respectively.

In the 800 meters, Abedelemejid Kerebo ran a solid race, finishing 13th with a time of 2:33.83.
Up next, the Running Eagles take a break for the holiday before returning to Clemson for a meet January, 11th.
