MARIETTA, Ga. --- The Life University women's rugby team earned a convincing 106-0 shutout victory over Penn State University Sunday morning at Lupo Family Field.

The offense swung open as Allexia English  broke through for the first try of the game. Christina Opeti then followed with a try of her own shortly after for a quick lead just inside five minutes of play. English, Azhinaye Barner, Madison Doyle, Hallie Fewless, Rebekah Salisbury, and Harlie Kallichuk all added more scores to extend the lead to 59-0 by halftime.

Doyle then then scored the first points of the second half, followed by another Kallichuk try. The Running Eagles then continued to score throughout the remainder of the half, running away with the lopsided victory 106-0.

Head coach Ryszard Chadwick shared his thoughts after the match stating, "We started fast and finished faster. A dominating score line, that saw some moments of exciting rugby. However, despite the heavy one sided game we still have work to do this week as we face Central Washington this Saturday."

The Running Eagles next match will be against the Central Washington this upcoming Saturday, March 2nd at 11 am.
