BIRMINGHAM, Ala. --- The Life U University Track and Field team traveled to University of South Alabama to participate in the South Alabama Invitational Sunday.

The meet was highlighted by seven top ten finishes and five top five finishes. 

Newcomer Printassia Johnson had an exceptional day for the Running Eagles, turning in a second place finish in the Women's 60 meters (7.47) earning A Standards and landing in the top three in the NAIA. Emeline Delaville earned another A Standard this time in the Women's 800 Meters (2:15.40) putting the Running Eagle in the top three in the NAIA too. 

In the Women's Shot Put event, Junior Diamond Atkins threw a new personal best with a mark of 12.14 meters.

Najah Gibson, Johnson, Trenia Stephens, and Delaville were also able to earn A Standards in the 4x400 relay (3:51.98) finishing in fourth place.

Also, Megan Judge earned B Standards in the Women's Pole Vault event finishing with a mark of 3.50 meters.

The Men's team had a great day for Life U, turning in four top ten finishes. In the Men's Weight Throw event Zachary Weinstein threw a season best and broke a school record moving to number eight in the NAIA (18.28 meters). Weinstein brings home a third place finish and A Standards.

In the Men's 60 Meters, Tobiloba Oniyide earned B Standards and finished in fourth place (6.84). Teammates Sammy Samuel was able to earn his personal best in the Men's 200 Meters (22.31) and Carlton Grisson threw a personal best in the Men's Weight Throw event (12.71 meters).

Up next, Life U goes back on the road to Clemson to compete in the Tiger Paw Invite on Friday, February 9th.
