Women’s Rugby Defeats Central Washington 22-0

MARIETTA, Ga — The Life University Women's Rugby team hosted Central Washington University Saturday morning, earning a thrilling 22-0 win.
To begin the match, the Running Eagles stayed locked in and got their first points from a conversion by
Angelina Mason 15 minutes into the match, giving the Eagles a 3-0 lead. The Running Eagles continued to the end of the first, with one big try from
Azhinaye Barner and another successful conversion by Mason to bring the score to a 10-0 halftime lead.
The second half started quick for Life U, with less than 9 minutes into the half,
Lissa Salisbury was able to score. With 10 minutes left of the game, Matilda Kojac followed too, giving the Running Eagles a 22-0 victory.
Mason successfully recorded three out of three conversions on the day.
The Running Eagles will next host Lindenwood on March 16th at 7 PM.
