BROOKINGS, S.D. --- The Life University men's track and field team competed in the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships this weekend. M

The men collected 14 team points to sneak just inside the top 20 out of 63 total teams.

The Running Eagles had six individuals compete and a relay team with Daniel Williams second place mark in the 400m Run being the top spot for Life U. With a time off 46.86, he won his heat in the finals hitting a personal best but fell short of the top spot after the second heat.

Also earning All-American honors, Tobiloba Oniyide earned a fifth place finish in the 60m Dash finishing with a time of 6.74.  The final podium finish of the weekend came from Zachary Weinstein who finished seventh in the men's weight throw.


The Running Eagles also had a two competitors compete in the 600m event with Gray McIntyre and Tilman Jedlitschka placing 14th and 22nd, respectively.

The 4x400m Relay consisting of McIntyre, Jedlitschka, Williams, and Ky-Juan Higgins failed to finish after an unsuccessful baton transfer.

The only other field placement from the Running Eagles was William Jones who finished 28th in the triple jump.

With the close of the indoor season the Running Eagles quickly turn to the outdoor season, the first competition coming in a few weeks.
