Batu Sets All-Time NAIA Record with 63.21m Hammer Throw

CARROLTON, Georgia --- The Life University Track and Field teams sent a handful of Running Eagles to "last chance" events with Jennifer Batu's hammer throw highlighting all competition with an All-Time NAIA record of 63.21m.

Other top marks throughout the weekend, included Diamond Atkins who turned in two stellar finishes with a first place B-Standard in the discuss throw and a fourth place finish in the hammer. Also in the women's hammer event Mersadies Foote placed 5th.

Other top finishes on the guys side included Zach Weinstein and Ridvan Kazimov who both finished with A-Standards in the hammer throw while Winston Sanders joined Weinstein with a top five B-Standard in the discus event.

Up next, the Life U teams prepare for another trip to compete in the NAIA National Tournament next week in Marion, Indiana.
