MARIETTA, Ga. --- The Life University men's club rugby team continued their strong start to the season Saturday afternoon, easily cruising to 49-21 win over NYAC on Lupo Family Field. The talented club team took no time scoring early and often against NYAC as Seth Smith touched for the first score in the 4th minute.
Dario Porta Sanchez scored the conversion and moved the lead to 7-0. Harley Davidson struck next, finding the try area after a quick break through the inside in the 9th minute. The Running Eagles continued to open the field and break into the try-zone as Seth Smith scored the final try of the half in the 36th minute, 28-7.
In the second half, the Running Eagles continued to score at will as Spencer O'Brien tabbed the first try of the half after a prolonged sequence in the opposing final third of play. Davidson scored his third try of the contest in the 59th minute with an athletic explosion of speed on the sideline, 40-7. The final score of the game for Life U came in the 64th minute with Jeron Pantor showcasing quick reflexes and impressive passing to squeeze a pass into Julian Roberts who walked in to score, unscathed.
Individually, Dario Porta Sanchez converted all seven of Life U's kicks.
Up next, the club rugby team hits the road next weekend to face White Plains in NY.
