CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Life University men's club rugby team delivered a commanding road performance Saturday, earning a 31–3 victory over the Charlotte Rugby Club.
The Running Eagles took control early behind first-half tries from Donovan Law and Gabe Fooks-Mychnia, setting the tone. In the second half, Sean Lenzsch, Darius Law, and Dominic Oliveira each crossed the line, while Tabonga Ngonyamo added three conversions to round out the scoring.
Life's defense held firm throughout, allowing only a single penalty kick while maintaining structure and intensity across all phases.
Head Coach Benny Mateialona praised the team's effort and adaptability after the match:
"Men's club came out on top with a gutsy win. It was an opportunity for us to try out different combinations and fine tune some of our game play. Thank you to Charlotte RFC for hosting."
The Club Rugby team remains on the road for their next matchup, traveling to face the Miami Tridents this upcoming Saturday, October 11th at 1 pm.
