MARIETTA, Ga. — The #1 Life University women's wrestling team continued its 2025–26 dual season with a strong showing on Lupo Family Field on Saturday's Fight on the Field. The Running Eagles posted a 46–0 shutout against Andrew before closing the day with a 30–12 win over #5 Indiana Tech.
#1 Life U vs. Andrew College
Life University controlled the dual from start to finish, sweeping all 10 official bouts. Alyssa Quezaire opened the match at 103 lbs. with a 10–0 technical fall in 2:06, followed by a 28-second fall from Ariana Martinez at 110 lbs. Diana Gonzalez added an 11–0 tech fall at 117 lbs., and Sidney Sullens recorded a first-period pin at 124 lbs.
The momentum continued as Olivia Mottley (131 lbs.) and Morgan Sacharczyk (138 lbs.) each secured 10–0 technical falls. At 145 lbs., Christina Jaen added a fall in 2:33. Life U closed out the dual with forfeits at 160 lbs. (Yasmine Oliveira), 180 lbs. (Narvena Sallom), and 207 lbs. (Madeline Welch) to finalize the 46–0 result.
Four additional matches followed. Andrew claimed one bout on criteria at 124 lbs., while the Running Eagles earned three more victories: a tech fall from Lexy Pabon, a 10–6 decision from Sacharczyk, and a fall from Sallom in 2:22.
#1 Life U vs. #5 Indiana Tech
The Running Eagles carried their momentum into the second dual of the day, securing a 30–12 win over No. 6 Indiana Tech. Unranked Quezaire again opened at 103 lbs., earning an impressive 10–0 technical fall over #3 Makayla Young in 3:43. Gonzalez followed with a 10–0 tech fall at 110 lbs., and Martinez battled to a tough 4–1 decision against Emma Jones besting last week's Mid-South Player of the Week at 117 lbs. Indiana Tech earned a decision at 124 lbs., before Mottley responded with a pin over #12 Andrea Hernandez at 1:43 at 131 lbs.
At 138 lbs., top-seeded Zaynah McBryde extended the lead with a 10–0 technical fall over #11 Hannah Seitzinger. Indiana Tech picked up wins at 145 lbs. and 160 lbs., but Life U sealed the dual at 180 lbs., where Reka Busa delivered a 25-second tech fall—the fastest finish of the day. Anetra Witherspoon added a 12–4 decision at 207 lbs. to close the official matches.
Four extra bouts concluded the event, highlighted by Jaen's 32-second fall at 138 lbs. and Sallom's 4–2 decision at 180 lbs.
The Running Eagles continue their weekend on Sunday, traveling to the Blue Hose Open at Presbyterian.
