Men's Rugby Races Past STU in Senior Day Win

02.22.25

Marietta, Ga. - The Life University men's rugby team claimed a 85-0 Senior Day win over St. Thomas early Saturday afternoon. It was all Running Eagles from the jump, with the home squad up 59-0 at the half.

It took just minutes for the scoring action to begin, with Adam Chadwick scoring off a maul. After a successful conversion from Bradley Crane, Life U once again converted a try, this time courtesy of Philani Simamane.

The Running Eagles converted three more tries over the next 12 minutes, taking a commanding 33-0 lead with Crane only having missed one conversation thus far. A yellow card to St. Andrews in the 29th minute did the visitors no favors as the Life U offense remained difficult to slow down. Ellis Davis made an excellent effort to convert a diving try in the corner that was followed by a successful try from Crane as the home squad controlled a strong 52-0 lead.

Logan Ballinger added one last try in the half as Life U took a 59-0 lead into the break.

The Running Eagles scored four more tries in the second half, with Seth Kramlich, Seth Kros, Wesley Piggins and Dominic Oliveira all scoring.

Up next, Life U travels to face Arkansas State on Saturday, March 9.
