MARIETTA, Ga. — The Life University men's rugby team traveled to Arkansas State over the weekend, earning a win 56-12.
The match began with the Running Eagles scoring the ball in the about 20 minutes into the game with Adam Chadwick reaching the try area first. Moments later Philani Simamane added to the scoring while Bradley Crane hit both kicks to go ahead 14-0. Heading into the break, the Running Eagles held a favorable scoreline of 21-5.
In the second half, the Running Eagles broke the game open with additional tries from Jordan Vassel, Tevita Mapa, Leon Best, Logan Ballinger, and Wes Piggins. The game ended with a final score of 56-12.
The Running Eagles travel again for a conference contest against Penn State in two weeks.
