Jeff Munn Named Assistant Athletic Director

06.23.25

MARIETTA, Ga. — Life University Director of Athletics Jayme Pendergast announced Jeff Munn will serve as one of the department's next Assistant Athletic Directors.

Munn brings decades of leadership and consulting experience in sports, live entertainment, and global operations, with a career spanning more than 30 years in executive roles. Most recently, Munn served as CEO of Family Quest Entertainment and Jurassic Quest, North America's largest and most realistic dinosaur exhibition.

In his new role at Life University, Munn will oversee all aspects of game-day operations, facility care and utilization, and manage effective and efficient travel operations.

Prior to Jurassic Quest and Family Quest Entertainment, Munn built a storied career with the Harlem Globetrotters, serving in various senior leadership positions across three decades, including a 15-year tenure as Chief Operating Officer. His broad portfolio included global logistics, strategic planning, booking and touring, merchandising, marketing, talent acquisition, and international business development. His leadership helped shape the Globetrotters' revitalization as a premier global brand.

Reflecting on a competitive hiring process, Pendergast said, "We had a uniquely large and talented candidate pool for this position. Jeff has a vast number of experiences that will translate well into his responsibilities for elevating our department. I'll lean on his experience as we start focusing in on strategic leverage points across the many critical areas of our day-to-day operations. Jeff articulated a very genuine passion for impact, which resonates well given we are tackling a lofty vision. I'm excited to have Jeff join our team and contribute to the constant growth we are always pursuing."

Munn expressed his appreciation for the opportunity and the people who influenced his decision, stating, "What Jayme has done to grow the Athletics footprint at Life University is remarkably impressive and I look forward to supporting her vision and steadfast growth mindset, while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence. The University's reputation as a leading educational institution speaks for itself and the athletic facilities are wonderful, however it was Jayme, the staff and coaches I met with that really impacted my decision to join the Life University team. It is not always easy to find such passion and determination in a group and to hear how much they genuinely care about delivering a meaningful and positive Student-Athlete experience aligns well with my leadership style and personal values."

Munn and his wife Tracey reside near Atlanta and have three children. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling with his family, serving the community, and diving into his affection of classic cars.
