ATLANTAGa. — The Life University men's club rugby team took a short trip down to Atlanta, beating the Atlanta Old White RFC by a score of 38-12 on Saturday afternoon. Tabonga Ngonyamo put on a great offensive performance as the only Running Eagles to score multiple tries.

It took just under four minutes for Life U to claim the lead. Karch Hoffman picked up right where he left off last match, scoring a try for the second-straight weekend.

With the early lead and momentum, Life U continued to look to push the score line. In the 18th minute, Donovan Law did just that, scoring his first try of the club season.

The Life U offense posted twelve points in the first half.

Seth Smith wasted no time adding to the score line out of the half time break, recording the third Running Eagles try in the 43th minute. Hugh O'Kennedy punched through the try conversion kick.

The offense caught fire in the second half as just nine minutes later Tabonga Ngonyamo scored his first try of the contest. Ngonyamo then added his second try of the contest in the 74th minute. Sean Lenzsch scored one final try for the Running Eagles in the 79th minute.

Atlanta Old White recorded two tries in the contest, but the score line finished 38-12 in favor of Life U.

"Our boys took on a very experienced and tough Atlanta team and pulled off a gutsy bonus point win," said Head Coach Blake Bradford. "We made too many errors and we really put ourselves under pressure at times when we strayed from the game plan. Atlanta forced us to work hard to build some momentum, but I am proud of the grit that our men showed throughout the game."
