SHREVEPORT, La. – Life University delivers another championship performance at the NCWA National Championships, securing back-to-back NCWA Division II National titles at the Brookshire Grocery Arena.
The Running Eagles qualify all 19 wrestlers into the tournament and turn that depth into 196 team points, the highest total by a Division II program at the event. Over three demanding days, Life produces one national champion, two national finalists, and 13 All-Americans.
The scale of the tournament underscores the significance of the result. The NCWA National Championships feature one of the largest collegiate wrestling fields in the country, with approximately 775 student-athletes representing 94 programs. Navigating that level of depth requires consistency, toughness, and the ability to win multiple matches across both championship and consolation brackets.
At 157 pounds, Jaden New leads the way, capturing the national title with a composed 3–1 decision in the finals.
Life places two more wrestlers in the national finals, as Adrian Morales (133) and Camron Crump (149) battle through deep brackets to finish as national runner-ups. Ryan Krimpelbein (235) adds a third-place finish.
Across the lineup, Life shows consistent production in the placement rounds. Kolby Dempsey (125), Zion Smith (174), and Connor Cooper (184) each earn fourth-place finishes. Ethan Sellers (141) and Connor Edwards (174) place sixth, while Nathaniel Santos (157) and Diego Barron (165) finish seventh. In the heavyweight division, Devin Dudley secures fifth and Zach Bailey adds an eighth-place finish.
Life separates through advancement points and placement matches, producing one national champion and 13 All-Americans while repeating as NCWA Division II National Champions.
