2025 MEN'S SOCCER SEASON RECAP

  • The Life University Men's Soccer program posted 16-1-3 record overall and went 8-1 in SSAC play.
  • The team earned an NAIA National Tournament berth, defeating Milligan 4–0 in the Second Round to advance to the final site in Orange Beach, Ala.
  • The team boasted 4 All-Americans, 1 conference Athlete of the Year, 10 all-SSAC honorees, 5 SSAC All-Tournament team members and Head Coach Alex Pama was named SSAC Coach of the Year.
  • Pawel Wolny was named the 2025 Men's Soccer SSAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year for his work in the classroom and between the posts.

SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

  • The Life University Men's Soccer program dropped just one regular season, including a 12-game unbeaten streak to start the season.
  • The Running Eagles picked up major victories during the regular season, taking down #2 UC Cumberlands at home 2-0.
  • The lone regular season loss came to #7 William Carey, who Life U beat later in the season to win the SSAC Championship.

  • The Life University Men's Soccer program earned a host bid following a dominant regular season.
  • The team earned the #5 seed overall in the NAIA Tournament, hosting Milligan for Round 2 of the National Tournament.
  • Life U claimed a 4-0 win over the Buffs to advance to the final site in Orange Beach, Ala. for the Round of 16.

STANDOUT PERFORMERS

  • The Life University Men's Soccer team was well honored at the 2025 SSAC Soccer Banquet.
  • Andrei Apostu took home the SSAC Golden Boot, SSAC Player of the Year, SSAC Offensive Player of the Year and SSAC Freshman of the Year while Head Coach Alex Pama was named SSAC Coach of the Year.
  • The team also had 10 All-Conference Honorees:
    • First Team: Andrei Apostu, Alvaro Hidalgo, Augusto Del Rio, Devin Koorn and Pawel Wolny.
    • Second Team: Stan van der Laan, Manuel Carrillo, Finn Seijsener, Enrico Burigotto and Enrico Lazzari.
  • Following the SSAC Tournament, Life U saw five student-athletes named to the All-Tournament team;
    • Devin Koorn, Kaito Nakayama, Pawel Wolny, Alvaro Hidalgo, Manuel Carrillo.
  • For his work on the field and in the classroom, Pawel Wolny was named the 2025 SSAC Men's Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
  • Following the completion of the 2025 season, Life U saw 4 student-athletes named to the NAIA All-American List;
    • First Team: Devin Koorn, Andrei Apostu
    • Third Team: Alvaro Hidalgo, Pawel Wolny
