Life University Set to Host First and Second Rounds for NAIA National Tournament

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The NAIA released the seedings and opponents last week for the 2025 NAIA Men's and Women's Soccer National Championship First & Second Rounds. The Running Eagles are set to host both the Men's and Women's opening rounds at Marathon Soccer Park, with both Life U teams set to make their first appearance of this year's tournament in the Second Round.

On the women's side, Life University earned the No. 12 seed after having a record-breaking 17-2-1 season, making it to the SSAC Tournament Championship for the third time in four years. The Running Eagles finished the season ranked No. 13 in the final NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll.

Tennessee Wesleyan joins the National Tournament after finishing the season as the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament Champions. The Bulldogs finished with a 15-2-0 record on the season and were receiving votes in the final NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll.

On the men's side, Life University earned the No. 5 seed after winning both the SSAC Regular Season and claiming the SSAC Tournament Championship for the second time in four years. The Running Eagles finished the season ranked No. 5 in the final NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll, the team's second highest ranking in program history.

The Running Eagles will face the winner of round one's matchup between LSU Alexandria (La.) and Milligan (Tenn). The Milligan Buffs earned an at-large bid to enter the tournament for their sixth year in a row and boast an 11-6-2 record. LSU Alexandria was also receiving votes in the final NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll and earned an at-large bid after earning an overall record of 14-3-1.
