2025-26 Women's Track & Field Season Recap

• The Life University Women's Track & Field posted a phenomenal 2025-26 season.
• During the Indoor Season, the program placed 2nd at the SSAC Conference Meet before placing 6th at the NAIA Indoor National Championships.
  • The program recorded 7 individual/relay conference champions on the way to the team title before sending 10 athletes to Indoor Nationals.
  • Shevaughn Thomas was named SSAC Freshman of the Year.
  • Once at Nationals, the program recorded two individual All-Americans, one All-American relay and Emeline Delaville won the 800m run to become the National Champion for the third-straight year.
• During the Outdoor Season, the program once again placed Runner-Up at the SSAC Conference meet before placing 5th at the NAIA Outdoor National Championships.
  • The program recorded 7 individual/relay conference champions on the way to the team title before sending 11 athletes to Outdoor Nationals.
  • Once at Nationals, the program recorded one Individual National Champion, one National Champion relay and four total All-American placements.
• For her outstanding work on the track and in the classroom, Emeline Delaville was named the SSAC women's Track & Field Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Standing alone at the top, Delaville was also honored as the the Overall SSAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year. The junior also earned USTFCCCA South Region Women's Track Athlete of the Year honors.
• Assistant Coach Tasha Sumner was named USTFCCCA South Region Women's Assistant Coach of the Year.

• The Life University Women's Track & Field program placed second at the SSAC Indoor Championships, recording 184 total points.
  • The program recorded 7 individual/relay conference champions and 11 all-conference athletes.
  • Shevaughn Thomas was named SSAC Freshman of the Year.
  • Assistant Coach Tasha Sumner was named USTFCCCA South Region Indoor Women's Assistant Coach of the Year.
• At the 2026 NAIA Indoor National Championships, the program recorded a T-6th finish.
  • Three individual athletes earned All-American status while two relays earned All-American status. Emeline Delaville won the 2026 Indoor 800m championship.
    • Emeline Delaville - 800m - 1st place (2:08.38)
    • Shevaughn Thomas - 400m - 5th place (54.84)
    • Najah Gibson - 600m - 5th place (1:32.37)
    • Kyja Williams, Sky Jones, Maelle Spiegel and Carmen Crawford - 4x800m relay - 8th place (9:44.20)
    • Kamarra Trisch, Delaville, Gibson, Thomas - 4x400m relay - 2nd place (3:43.81)

Conference Meet | National Meet

• The Life University Women's Track & Field program placed second at the SSAC Outdoor Conference Championships, earning 184 points.
  • The program recorded 7 individual/relay conference champions and 14 all-conference athletes.
  • Assistant Coach Tasha Sumner was named USTFCCCA South Region Indoor Women's Assistant Coach of the Year.
• At the 2026 NAIA Indoor National Championships, the program recorded a 5th place finish overall.
  • The Running Eagles recorded five total All-American finishes, one Individual National Champion and one relay National Champion.
    • Emeline Delaville - 800m - 1st place (2:06.93)
    • Shevaughn Thomas - 400m Hurdles - 3rd place (58:.49)
    • Cameron Kelperis - Pole Vault - T-8th place (3.83m)
    • Carmen Crawford, Sky Jones, Maelle Spiegel & Kyja Williams - 8th place (9:49.22)
    • Shevaughn Thomas, Najah Gibson, Cameron Kelperis & Emeline Delaville - 1st place (3:41.72)
• Following the conclusion of the season, Emeline Delaville was named the 2026 SSAC Overall Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
