Elias Ramirez enters his first season as an assistant coach with Life University after a standout playing career with the Running Eagles. A native of Bay City, Michigan, he brings a wealth of experience, passion, and player development expertise to the program.

He accumulated six years of collegiate basketball experience, competing at Northwood University, Goshen College, and Life University. While at Goshen, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Sports Management. His career culminated at Life University, where he surpassed the 1,000-point milestone, finishing with 1,340 career points. In the 2023–2024 season, he was named Second Team All-SSAC, and in the 2024–2025 season he helped the Running Eagles capture a SSAC tournament championship and advance to the NAIA Sweet 16.

As an assistant coach at Life, Ramirez is responsible for overseeing player development and performance, assisting with individual workouts, practice planning and on-court instruction, breaking down film, coordinating video, and supporting game preparation and strategy.

Beyond his duties at the university, Coach Ramirez is the founder of ER Skill Development, a basketball skills training business based in the Metro Atlanta area, where he has worked with athletes ranging from youth players to current overseas pros. In addition to coaching and training, he also contributes to Life University’s Gameday Operations, supporting the athletic department and student-athlete experience.

Coach Ramirez recently earned his Master’s in Positive Psychology & Coaching from Life University and is currently pursuing his MBA while beginning his collegiate coaching career.
