Christian Flavin has served as the Women's Wrestling assistant since the 2017-18 season, but officially was promoted to Associate Head Coach in 2024.

Since joining the program, Flavin has helped produce seven National Champions, 59 All-Americans, 49 NWCA Scholar All-Americans, and four Olympic Team Trials Qualifiers. In addition to individual awards, the women’s wrestling program has been named the NWCA National Champions (2022,2024, & 2025), MSC Regular Season Champions (2022, 2023, 2024, & 2025), 2025 NAIA National Tournament Champions, the NAIA National Invitational Runner-Ups (2021), the WCWA National Runner-Ups (2020) and the MSC Tournament Champions (2019) under Flavin’s leadership. 


Prior to a coaching career at Life U., Flavin led the U-15 Colorado age group National Dual Championship team (Greco)in 2015 before earning the accolade once more in 2017 for Georgia. Before coaching, Flavin was a decorated wrestler, being named the GA State Wrestling Champion in 2008. A three-time High School All-American at East Coweta High School, Flavin attended the University of Nebraska-Kearney for three seasons and transferred to the University of Tennessee Chattanooga for a single season. In 2014 he moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado as a non-resident athlete for the US Greco Roman Wrestling team. Completing his Freestyle and GrecoCareer as a U-23 All-American in both styles (3rd Freestyle, 5th Greco)

Flavin received a degree in History from Shorter University in Rome, GA. He lives in Smyrna with his wife, Ashley Flavin, their two year old son, Kit, and dog, Hamilton.
