Jameel Bryant brings with him years of experience in the Mid-South Conference with previous stops at Brewton-Parker and Lindsey Wilson.
Before arriving at Life University, Bryant began his coaching career at his alma mater, Lindsey Wilson College. In his two years coaching with the Blue Raiders, he coached six All-Americans and a national champion. His second stop in his career of wrestling was Brewton-Parker. In his only season with the Barons, the St. Petersburg, Fla. native coached two All-Americans and a NAIA National Qualifier.
 "I am excited for the chance to work with the coaching staff at Life University," said Bryant. "I am excited and thankful to Coach Acosta for the opportunity to be part of this up-and-coming program. I can't wait to help student athletes be the best they can possibly be in academics and competition. I am very excited to be a part of a growing program."
Head coach Omi Acosta stated, "Jameel is very enthusiastic and will provide a big spark to our coaching staff. Coach Bryant is dedicated to bettering our student-athletes, and I'm confident he will help them in their pursuit of getting a college degree and becoming the best wrestlers they can be."
As a student-athlete, Bryant was accomplished in his own right. At Lindsey Wilson College, he was a two-time national champion as well as a three-time All-American. Additionally, Bryant also earned seven Mid-South Conference Wrestler of the Week honors. Following that was a MSC wrestler of the year with an NAIA National Wrestler of the Week honor. He was additionally named an All-American at North Iowa Area Community College prior to transferring to Lindsey Wilson.
Bryant holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications with a minor in Business Administration from LWC.
