    Volunteer Assistant Coach

Coach Tre Horton enters his 2nd season as a Volunteer Assistant Coach. Coach Horton is also the Director of Life University Wrestling Camps. Coach Horton has a long history with the sport of wrestling being involved since 2002. As an athlete, he was a GA Greco state champion, Freestyle runner up, 5A High School state finalist and placer (2nd and 3rd), 4-time state qualifier, region champion, and GMVWA Champion in 2011. He wrestled at Brewton-Parker College where he placed 3rd at the Georgia Collegiate State Championship just prior to a career ending injury. More importantly as a coach, he has been coaching since 2013. From 2018 to 2021, he coached two All-Americans and 4 state placers. He was named the Gwinnett County Assistant Coach of the Year in 2021. In addition to his role with Life University, Coach Horton currently serves as the Wrestling Director for Peachtree Ridge Youth Wrestling where he had 4 state placers in 2022.
