SUMTER, S.C. – Life University (1-1) defeated Morris College 83-74 on Monday.
 
"We were better tonight and actually made some strides," Head Coach Keith Adkins said. "But, we still have a lot to work on, especially on the defensive end. We also need to examine our priorities, as individuals, and need to be able to look at things outside of our own little worlds."
 
Four Running Eagles posted double-digit points in the win. Junior Deven Dorsett paced the squad with 19 points. Senior Undra Mitchem followed just behind with 16 points. Senior Jay Johnson posted 14 points, with junior Malik Pugh contributing 10 points.
 
After a tight first half, the Running Eagles took a 43-42 lead into the half.
 
Life U got things rolling the second half and took the victory 83-74.
 
The Running Eagles are back in action on Saturday, Nov. 11 as they travel to Selma, Ala. to face off against Concordia College.
